Our work always begins with curiosity.
From drag performers in Nashville defending their livelihoods to communities facing addiction on the Pacific coast of the United States; from the barrios of Mexico living without water while nearby data centres thrive, to migrants forced to return home to Bogota after decades abroad; from the Carpathian Mountains to the arid plains of Spain, our impact-driven films trace resilience, belonging and the fascinating details of everyday life.
Our projects span local communities and global platforms. We've created human-centered documentaries, short films and digital content for the BBC, PBS, Al Jazeera English, Panasonic and the Olympics, across nearly twenty countries. Working between Mexico City, Bogota and Madrid, we bring together the sensibilities of Latin America and Europe, combining the creativity of two regions with rich cinematic traditions. Big patch, right! But one we know by heart.

Who we are
Rooted in two continents, our dual home allows us to translate between worlds, decoding Latin America for Europe, and reflecting Europe back through Latin eyes. We work across languages, cultures and ways of seeing, always looking for the shared humanity beneath them. Every film reflects the same values that shape our studio: empathy, craft and purpose.
Oliver Steven Jones, Creative Director
Oliver has spent more than a decade telling stories that look closely at how people live, relate and make sense of their worlds. A documentary filmmaker shaped by a background in award-winning journalism and current affairs, he’s known for his curiosity, calm presence and good humour. Born in Manchester, England, he brings northern graft, heart and precision to every story he helps tell.
Santiago Torres Ospina, Head of Production & Senior Producer
Santiago is a Colombian filmmaker and anthropologist whose work approaches every story with patience and care. Guided by trust, observation and a deep grounding in anthropology, he brings a rare ability to notice what others miss — and to build the relationships that make meaningful films possible.
Ospina Jones Studios, formerly Jones Ospina Studios, collaborates with broadcasters, brands and cultural organisations that value cinematic, human-centred storytelling.
