Helping Youth in Illness through Sport
Ospina Jones Studios for IOC Media
with Social Chain
Sofía Arévalo Sierra is an International Olympic Committee Young Leader from Mexico using sport to support adolescents and young adults facing illness. Through her project, Entre Causas, she creates safe spaces where movement builds confidence and community.
Drawing on her own experience with leukaemia, Sofía uses gymnastics, cheerleading and sport-nutrition workshops to help young people navigate cancer and other serious conditions. Her work shows how sport can offer strength when life becomes unpredictable.
This film is part of the IOC Young Leader series filmed and directed on-the-ground by Ospina Jones Studios.
